VISTA term ends
so AFN's three-year stint with the VISTA program ends tomorrow. with a few concluding remarks at today's City Council Telecom meeting, Rob and i are on our way out. we've tried to set up a situation that will make life easy for our new intern, Adria. one way of doing this was to set up a "knowledge-log," a blog-like method of documenting narrative knowledge that staff can leave behind for current/new staff. the AFN k-log isn't exactly packed with info as yet, but it's coming along and even has piqued the interest of our financial manager.

with some distress, Rob and i are trying to pull together a report on the "impact" of our work on the community, in particular respect to the VISTA mission of "eliminating poverty." meanwhile, with Adria on board, we're also tightening up our volunteer program and setting up a new quarter of computer trainings.
